Chess openings

Just keep playing do not worry about openings. Try not to lose your queen, other pieces or pawns. Play slowly, especially at the begin of the game. You can Always speed up when you are down to 1 minute.

Very hard to learn openings
My way of life :
Studying tactics (there are tactics in the openings !)
Applying the principles of the openings (unless there is a better move !) when your partner play an unknown line
Game after game (recording every game !), acquire a general knowledege of the first 4-5th moves of the often played openings.
Do not use traps (unless you want not to be trapped)
Buying an opening book as a reference, a dictionnary-like, not to read as a novel but tu understand a particular opening.
Trying your favorites openings with blitz (whatevever will be the final result ! only to analyse the beginning)

What else...

Not sure i'm a better player, but it gives me some interest to study chess
