I made some minigames to test/improve your chess memory.
Link: https://chessmemorytrainer.herokuapp.com
There are four in total, in which you have to:
#1. memorize a position in 30 seconds;
#2. memorize a game being played on the board;
#3. memorize a game notation;
#4. follow a game notation in your head and set up the final position.
Also, you can select the number of pieces/moves you'd like to memorize and for minigames #2 and #3 you can either memorize all of the moves in one go or one by one.
That's it, let me know if you enjoyed it or have any suggestions!

wow this is really cool! my only suggestion is a back button to get back to the original page cuz its kinda annoying to try to get back there without a "home" or a "back" button

also, if i accidentally click the wrong color or the wrong piece on the "remember a game" thing, even if i release the piece back on its original square, i lose

This is a cool tool, but where do I sign up for a premium account?

You can go back clicking the header, but I'll add a button for that, thanks!

I see, I'll fix that.

And you're sure you don't want to fill that big lonely page up with ads for allergy medicine or upcoming movies?
Or maybe a feature that gates my ability to solve puzzles on there behind a friendly reminder to upgrade to premium?
All I'm trying to say is that you made a great, useful tool that I've enjoyed using so far. The kind of tool I'm going to share with my friends and students alike. But how are supposed to find utility and enjoyment from such a tool if we don't upgrade from our Platinum membership to, say, Double Black Emerald?

All joking aside, I'd love a feature to solve the position before the 30 seconds elapse.
Maybe another feature that would allow me to set how much time I have to examine the position to see if I can snapshot the position.
And another feature that would allow me to toggle coordinates on the board -- I'd like to give a wide range of students some positions to try on your site, but some of them will have trouble completing the puzzle if they can't see coordinates.
I also notice that you count illegal moves as incorrect (I mouseslipped d2-d5 instead of d2-d4). Would be nice to ensure these can't be inputted to avoid these situations.
And while I'm asking, a larger board or ability to resize the board. This would help screensharing, especially with those who are joining on tablets.
Also, for those interested, here's a little tidbit on pattern recognition and positional memory in chess: https://en.chessbase.com/(X(1)S(2tkfoi1vi0kyx2lthpbhfdui))/post/pattern-recognition-in-chess
