I assumed, wrongly at first, that below the line was my play and above theline was my opponents play, but this is not the case and is now confusing.

Computers calculate an advantage for White with positive numbers and an advantage for Black with negative numbers. So when the colored line is above the center line, White has the advantage, and when the colored line is below the center line, Black has the advantage.
