Caro Kann counter

If I am white how can I counter the caro-kann, I find it really annoying for white. Also if there is a counter for advance that's nice.

The advance variation 1 e4 c6 2 d4 d5 3 e5 is now considered most testing for black.

1 e4 c6 2 c4 d5 3 cxd5 cxd5 4 exd5 is a good line. It's rare, so your opponent won't be booked up and if they play inaccurately they'll be a pawn down.

The Fantasy Variation is a Killer for the Caro, I'm a Caro player and I HATE the Fantasy.

No matter how any person or click-bait YouTube video spins it, there’s no hidden variation or irrefutable gambit that’ll give you a 99% win-rate. If there was, then the Caro-Kann wouldn’t be a good opening; same for the French, Sicilian, and so on.

There’s only one way to beat good openings: Learn, study, play, analyse the best variation. For the Caro-Kann, it’s the Advance. OTB master game statistics prove that.

lichess has a great tool, coaled "openings". There you see how people reacts. You can try a reaction that suits your game

No way. Pray for a draw. ))) According to Lichess statistics, the answer 1...c6 is the most successful answer for black to 1 e4. According to Lichess statistics, the score is even in black's favor! Everyone can see for themselves here:

That is, if you are played against Caro-Kann, then statistically the chances are not in your favor. Pray for a draw, maybe they will take pity on you and agree to a draw! )))))
And I felt something like this when about 28 years ago, when I was 12 years old, I started playing only Caro-Kann in response to 1.e4 (and since then I have only played Caro-Kann in response to 1 e4). I am very happy with my choice. I definitely do not plan to change Caro-Kann for something else.

@ColossusChess And why the dislike? Did you know earlier (before my comment) that according to Lichess statistics, the move 1... c6 is the most successful response for black to 1 e4, and even with a score in black's favor? Probably not. Since very, very few people know this. So even for one message of such new information, it would be correct to put a like, and not a dislike! Even if everything else was incorrect (and completely), then it would still be correct to put a like (and not a dislike) even for one such new piece of knowledge!

It's not new information for me at all and such statistics are useless.

The Caro-Kann is not the most sucessful opening for example above 2200. Weaker players tend to struggle since they don't know any theory but that doesn't matter for me.
