Hello! in fact the goal of a team depends on the ideas of each captain, (a team captain / team leader is the creator of the team but he can appoint several other people as team leaders for different tasks) for me the goal of a team is tournaments and to be a united group, like in a sports team! after my situation is versatile, I'm a team leader, and a player in somes good teams, so I have two points of view: as captain, there is a kind of "hard work" which is to register the team in tournaments, when we speak for the first time with tournament organizers, we sometimes have to convince them that we are able to play regularly, but after that creates contacts with great people! I would say that tournament organizers are probably an even more difficult job and these people deserve my respect! then you have to bring together the players of your own team to talk to them about the tournament, knowing that some don't like the messages on this or that day, finally you have to play the tournament and motivate your teammates, on the board and in the chats, it's very important! the best moment for me is to thank my teammates for their work, that's gratifying! As a team player, i would say the same, i want good vibes and tournaments ! what I look for in a team (as a player) is precisely team spirit, fighting spirit and motivation! Greeting

Sounds like you found some chatty teams...
Yes, full of VERY nice, friendly people!
What do you mean "promoted in team battles"?
Team battles are like normal Arenas, only if you win a game you get 2 points for your team (1 for a draw, or more if you berserk or are on a streak, or both) At the end of the arena time, the teams are ranked in order of points scored, and the players are ranked in order of individual points both in the tournament and within their team. For example, a battle of 10 teams and 7 leaders means there are 10 teams in that team battle (eg the twice weekly Lichess Bundesliga organsied by FM jeffforever) and the top 7 players for each team have their points counted for the team total.
Using the Liga as an example, there are 10 teams and about 16 Ligas split into eg 16A, 16B, 16C with Liga 1 as the top of the pile. Top 3 teams are promoted eg from Liga 7 to Liga 6, teams 4-7 stay in the same Liga and teams finishing 8-10 are demoted eg from Liga 7 to Liga 8. The time control rotates between 5+0, 3+0 and 3+2 blitz. There is a Lichess Rapid League as well for people who prefer rapid.

Here is an example of a Liga tourney where our team got promoted and took over the arena chat with fun and games!
Hope this helps!
