Can I use Chess engine assistence whe playing with a friend

Of course it is never allowed to use an engine without your opponent's approval. Why do people even ask?

You all are fools. You may, like I do, use an engine in any game, unrated or rated. you just have to be sure thibby doesn't catch you ;)

btw, I may or may not be serious in this post. you decide!

What intrigued me was the near perfection of your play at times, when compared to the (no offence intended) less than mediocre results you have in tournaments.

Let us look at this defeat, for example, in one of the highly scrutinised arenas: http://en.lichess.org/Y6gUvJo7

You're obviously a pretty good player, but... that's a heavy defeat, by checkmate, to an opponent rated nearly 500 below you.

I am not, of course, accusing you of anything. I am a mere journeyman at chess. These do, however, look very interesting from the perspective of someone who is interested in examining games for such things as genius moves or cheating.

Those who belong to the CIA and make jocular claims that they are cheating in threads, have been outed as cheats a ridiculously high number of times. It's a psychological condition called Narcissism.

Anyway, interesting stuff that is probably completely irrelevant.
