AI will replace a lot of jobs in the wide future but AI will mainly only support us in the near future.

For now it is most serving as a second opinion in jobs, in chess it is an adversarie and now it will become a big source of help

I asked Chatgpt to answer the OP's question. Here's what it said:

"As an AI language model, I understand the excitement surrounding Chat Gpt and its ability to answer chess-related questions. However, while it can provide helpful resources and summaries, I do not believe it can completely replace a chess coach. A coach provides personal guidance, tailored to each individual player's strengths and weaknesses. They can also provide hands-on training and lessons, which cannot be replicated by an AI. Additionally, a coach can offer emotional support and motivation, which are important aspects of the learning process. So, while Chat Gpt can certainly be a useful tool for players, it should be seen as a supplement to, not a replacement for, a human coach."

As I specified, when can pair it with stock fish and get a fabulous coaching with stock fish analyzing games and chat gpt providing expert advices and summarizing books and suggesting study roadmaps

But... ChatGPT can write a poem about chess in the style of William Blake:

In fields of imagination bright,
Where knights and bishops take their flight,
And rooks and pawns in battle stand,
In games of strategy and command.

Chess is a world of endless play,
A battlefield where armies sway,
A mental test of wits and skill,
A contest to which all must thrill.

Each piece has a purpose, each a role,
To capture the king and claim control,
And though they're made of wood or stone,
Their power is not just in form alone.

For every move, a tale untold,
A story of battles lost or bold,
Of cunning strategies, of mind and might,
And of victory won in the heat of fight.

So let us play this game divine,
And through its moves, our spirits shine,
For in this world of black and white,
We find a beauty that knows no sight.

Thus, chess is more than just a game,
It's a journey through the mind's domains,
A journey to find what lies within,
And a way to explore the world of men.

Do you mind me steeling it

This is not mine. ChatGPT-3 generated that. I'm not sure if it can be reused or not. As far as I'm concerned, you can.
However, wasn't it trained using stolen data?

BTW here's a haiku about chess:
In stillness it waits
Black and white pieces, poised and strong
Strategy unfolds.

I think chatGPT can give very good fluff advice, like analyse your games to know your mistakes and weaknesses, and then work on your weak areas, solve puzzles to improve your tactical vision and pattern recognition, don't play too much bullet, or don't memorise moves, but try to understand the ideas behind the moves and general plans, pay attention to threats, checks and captures, and so on. It may suggest you popular books like Silman or woodpecker method. ChatGPT is trained on what people are writing on the internet forums, so you will get what people write on the forums. ChatGPT will format it nicely, will use good English (and perhaps will translate it to your language).

But beyond that would it replace coaches? It depends on how good the typical coaches are. I don't have any experience with coaches.
