Excuse me sir???
When did I say that I dislike Bullet?
It was implied, given how you negatively commented about it not being a game and about bullet requiring speed.

"Gotta blunder fast!"

Me, playing bullet.

Everyone is discussing and I still haven't figured out what the topic means :/

One could play bullet chess without a claustrum. Such is impossible in rapid or longer - where almost all of our consciousness and high level thinking will be due to the claustrum in our brains.

Without a claustrum, you can respond to familiar situations and sensations - but with a claustrum, humans are able to "focus" on a particular task and go deep with it.. Hope that makes snse.

Either way,
I see what you mean.
You are saying bullet is more like a sport, since you CANNOT have a few coughs in the middle of the game, or stand up and stretch in the middle of the game. ultra and a small coughing attack? You will lose against 1600+ even if you are 2200. So I kinda see what you mean.

That being said, do you consider speedrunning a game, or a sport?
Because in Mario 64 for example satisfies the exact same argument (played at the highest level, not a let's play) in that you can't just up and take a break from the console in the middle of a world record paced run. It is interesting how you bring that up about bullet - It certainly makes the game more selective. But, at the same time, disabled people can play. Espec ially if their disability has nothing to do with breathing, focus, etc. That's quite interesting actually, bullet is one of the only TRUE SPORTS that a disabled person has the possibility of competing at a high level in.

Really interesting topic you started here, please, go deep in the comments here. Thanks.

It reminds me like this:

You can't take a break in the middle of your world record paced speedrun, because it would ruin all chance for success! It's like when people say "I'm going to cough for 0.4 seconds," and then they spend 1.7 seconds coughing instead (Blundering 7 tempi in an ultra game, assuming your avg rate is 60moves/game).

I'm stating to agree with you more and more that ultrabullet is a sport.

There's something to be said about how much money one can spend on their sport of choice.
There is a chance if you want to be a pro sportsperson that buying shoes, lessons, gym memberships, good diet, advanced equipment, etc. will increase your chances for success. Can the same sort of statements be made about Ultrabullet? Something like 144hz 1ms refresh monitors, or other slight benefits?

By the way,
in 1+0, you have no excuse whatseover. That's not a sport. You could leave for half th egame and still be in the game against -200 points from your starting.
