I think what @Traveel is asking is how to challenge a friend to something like this:
[Variant "Racing Kings"]
[FEN "8/8/1N1Nn1n1/N6n/2N2n2/N6n/1N1Nn1n1/2k2K2 w - -"]
Except Traveel probably means actual reachable positions whereas I'm using a totally custom position as an example~ Would be an elementary #1 if it were played as normal chess, but played as a Racing Kings position Stockfish even evaluates it as a "0"; which I'm pretty sure is probably because it's a fair position though I haven't had any means to playtest it yet.
To repeat Traveel's question; is there a way to challenge a friend to a variant such as Racing Kings from a non-default position? I've looked a little and it doesn't appear as though a way to do that exists; it's not obvious in the slightest if it does exist.
