Lichess OTB Mode

I was excited, then they said no OTB Mode. I cried!

Ironic that the best idea they have ever had was a joke. Maybe someone can actually make this happen. I think it's brilliant.

😂😂👌👌
Nice April fool via Lichess, I was trying to on the OTB mode then I could find the option until I read the whole passage!

As originally described (I think), "over the board mode" sounds brilliant with two glosses:

  1. It should always be optional, and there to select, never mandatory. Online security is a serious concern, always, and letting others see "into" your computer (which seeing your cursor location would seem to do) sounds like a peek.

  2. the 3D "pieces" are wonderful: BUT BUT BUT -- the camera angle is, at present, much too close to perpendicular to the board, unless there is some way to adjust it that I have not yet discovered. Always possible.

Subject to those two glosses, "over the baord mode" sounds worthy -- even if it was intended as an April Fool's joke.

EDIT: Actually, it sounds MORE than merely worthy. It might be the bright future of chess as we know and love it.
