Welcome Lichess Bots

I'm old. I simply do not have a clue what this bot stuff is all about.
Follow me if you want to vote in real time along with other spectators to decide what moves to play against human opponents! The more, the merrier! (rapid games only)
@Spartako @EvilChess @Phyisis @thibault

Another concern about bots changing human ratings is that one could potentially create a bot, get the bot's rating up, then play against the bot with his/her own account in order to artifically increase his/her rating---then rinse and repeat.

Lichess, how would you address this? Or perhaps you already have a detection system in place for this?
@FlamingDragon_9000 manipulation of rating requires many games and all games get saved on profile game history which is viewable by everyone and cannot be hidden. Also the offender's rating will go quickly up and become very high. Lots of players hate cheaters. They will suspect cheating because offender's rating gets too high too quickly.
Therefore, there are going to be some users who will see through games history of the offending user. They will find the suspicious games and do a computer analysis. Then they will report the offender and include the links in the reports. Then mods will see the reports and ban both the player and the bot.
@thibault The user registration page needs to be updated. It currently says, "Computers and computer-assisted players are not allowed to play. Please do not get assistance from chess engines, databases, or from other players while playing."
ICC has bots to practice basic mates and is the only thing i miss. It's nice to have some random position thrown at you to practice Bishop and Knight mate or both Bishops mate, etc. instead of using the practice module which always starts the same. It's easier and more practical than creating positions in the analysis board and setting up the engine. Just an idea.
Do we need to get a new email to register a bot account?
