Ben Finegold accuses Mark Plotkin of cheating -- on stream

@String_dogg I thought the video had been deleted. I said, we can only pray you saved it....then it started working again so I edited my comment. I love your channel. You're doing the Lord's work. God bless you.
"Arena Kings and all the chess.com tournaments are stupid. They set them up so all the lower rated players can do well. So for example, let's say there's an arena Kings tournament and there's 100 players. Let's say there are 50 GMs and 50 non GMs, so I can make my plea. They have the GMs play each other and the non GMs play each other. So if you're 1300 you're like 10-0. You're not going to play a 2700 you're going to play a 1400. So that's why lower rated players can do well. The tournaments just set up in a silly way so that lower rated players can do well" - Ben Finegold

"most of the stuff they do is really stupid, then they say how smart they are - sorta like trump" - Ben Finegold.

Let's just take a few moments to digest all that. Remember that this is coming from a guy who has been paid by chess.com to only play on their site. Take a second and let that sink in.

Wow.
@NeverBeenTimid

While your chess accomplishments are rather modest, I must say you've mastered the art of high school bullying so prevalent on social media now. In your latest contribution, you quote Ben Finegold followed by your 'all-knowing' dismissive sarcasm, as if it is soooo obvious what an idiot he is that you don't actually have to explain anything or articulate an objection. Anyone who has reservations and does not wish to join the gang pile on must be an idiot as well, although no one ever has to explain their reasons.

For all I know, Finegold may be right that the site in question catches only half the cheaters and sets up its tournament so that low rated players will do well. Do you, or any of your fellow whiners, actually have any articulate objections to make to those claims?
@nayf I think you need to work on your reading comprehension skills.

All I did was quote what he said. I have no objections at all with what he said - I actually agree with everything (apart from the cheating accusation). Why would I object to his claims? If anything I applaud him for his honesty. I just hope he isn't reprimanded for it.

I guess the irony of chess.com paying streamers to play solely on their site only for them to then point out everything wrong with it is lost on you.
Ah, if you weren't being sarcastic I apologise. It is hard to tell, given the level of the rest of the thread, and I didn't pay close attention to who had said what previously. Yes, it is indeed noteworthy that a paid streamer has the integrity to voice those criticisms, but I'm not surprised as he is an unusually forthright guy.

I thought you were complaining that he lacked loyalty. Reread your last paragraph and see whether I lacked reading comprehension skills or you lacked writing skills.
"I thought you were complaining that he lacked loyalty"

I mean, he did kind of stream exclusively on lichess to entice chess.com to offer him a contract but that's beside the point.

No need to apologise. No harm no foul. If he says chess.com does stupid things, who are we to argue?
