Nice game. I find this approach easier to understand. You sort of remove all of fish's pieces except for the queen and try to force it to only move the queen. I should try that
Yes but not only, you need to close the position as much as possible so that its pieces can't reach your side of the board. Basically you have to limit its moves as much as you can. Once you did that you need to bring your king as much as closer to its king, preferably in a corner so there's less space, and surround your king with your pieces so any check would be mate.
After you win the challenge once, the next one becomes to win it again in less moves.
