Hello!
I’ve been playing chess (with the intent to improve, not just a game against a friend), for about a year now. I’ve made it to 1800+ without the assistance of any chess books, mainly just watching Masters and analyzing games.
Not too long ago I got Dvoretsky’s Endgame manual and a book on the Caro-Kann. Just from reading them a little bit I’ve already improved quite a bit (though Dvoretsky’s is definitely difficult). I regret not have buying chess books when I began for improvement, but now that I want to buy chess books I’m not sure what I should get.
I definitely don’t want to get a beginner chess book, and even some intermediate chess books, because I don’t want them to be a waste of time if I’ve already got most of the stuff down. I don’t really want an opening book until I become 2200+, I can learn about as deep as I need to from online videos (though I have very limited opening knowledge). I already think Dvoretsky’s Endgame manual will suffice my Endgame needs, but are there any good chess books that I should look into?
Thanks!
