Btw, Lichess only recognizes these titles: https://lichess.org/help/master
(W)NM are also subject to some conditions. For example, we have to be able to verify the claim and may reject if we can't.

It will be accepted but hardly anyone will care about it. ACM (and Arena titles in general) are just made to fill the pocket of FIDE, and perhaps to encourage beginners to play more chess by giving them a (useless) title.

If the title is from FIDE then it has got a value. By not valuing the title, in a way we are not valuing the FIDE. In a way all the title have a meaning or are useless.

If you're an ACM, you can get it added to your name during tournaments. That might help scare your opponents....

I have found various statements from FIDE, stating they will not recognise these titles OTB, and also several stating they will. Could anyone clarify this if possible?
