Aborting before first move

Sorry if that came over as a bit of a rant. I waited some minutes for a match and was annoyed when my opponent quit instantly without even starting, seems more than a bit pathetic.........having said that I apologize if my choice of words caused offence. Likewise my user name, the aim is to cause amusement not to be abusive.

I did it 3 or 4 times when I was brand new to the site.
I wanted to play stockfish and clicked on "Create a Game", thinking I could then choose the computer. When a game with an actual opponent came up, I aborted right away.
If I would have just looked down about an inch, I would have seen "Play the Computer", but I guess I got tunnel vision.
So sometimes, it's just a stupid rookie mistake. I probably annoyed someone as well.

i get EXTREMELY angry after getting beat by a positional (probably hypermodern) player as white, face a miserable scandinavian advance or stonewall straightjacket as black and then get stuck playing black AGAIN. it has nothing to do with my opponent. it has to do with "you're not boxing me in a 3rd time in a row! i want to ATTEMPT to play a king's gambit now!"

i developed the affliction playing at tempo where ALL of the sandbaggers, cheats etc. there place seeks as white forcing YOUR random into 3-4 black games in a row

my reply, from my situation, is what's up with patzers who refuse to play black?

players that win with weird positional systems, usually as white, then refuse a rematch where i can rip apart with king's gambit really set me off too. at least i can block them along with real abusers.

I play on mobile and if you hit the quick game default time control it starts
Instantly sometimes. Aborting is fine.

I did this yesterday by accident. I saw a player online I’ve played lots of times and challenged him, which he accepted.

I started putting stuff in the chat box not realizing he had moved. Then when I did go to move, the game had aborted.

We just started again and had a great game.

I’m sure many aborted games are the result of a deliberate decision not to play but occasionally, things unintended happen.

I got a warning but next time I’ll move before engaging in pleasantries.

Let me tell you practical thing.

When people get paired if they see that higher opponent is there they want to abort that game because they don't wan to lose points.
It is one type of manipulation only.

Maybe their computer gets off and they need a charger. Idk, maybe some mistakes, I am Ukrainian :)

There have been multiple occasions where I've played a game, the game ended, and the system automatically started another one without any input from me. Of course I'm aborting that game.
