A racist question?

@Abigail-III: Classifying Khasimdzanov as a World Champion is the point of contention there. That's a whole other topic.

Also, the question is no more racist than "Was Barack Obama the first black president of the United States?" So the question is not racist, and the answer, for a lot of people, is yes.

Well, Obama’s mom was white, so...

Most Champions were not only white, but Russian, and also Jews. Russian Jews. Ashkenazi jews. Growing up in Soviet Union it was always assumed that Jews will have their kids involved in intellectual activities like music or chess, while Russians will have their kids working at a factory or drink vodka... or both... it’s as if Jews basically have the DNA for thinking and achieving. Sensitive topic... to some... lol, sensitive to those who are insecure and wrongly think any statistic reflects on them personally.

@Kusokosla "it’s as if Jews basically have the DNA for thinking and achieving." – not DNA, but culture.
