@kindaspongey you don't have to believe in anything, the advice I suggested is generally good and a player can do some soul searching in time management before they figure out a method themselves. You just seem to be too focused on semantics. This discussion might turn into one of those iceberg ones soon
Kinda hard to say, but I would have done 16.- exd5. blocking his bishop, opening the center.
