RESIGNING when there's checkmate in one??!! HUH?

My opponent was completely crushing me until when there was mate in one after I moved, HE RESIGNED!

Only because I couldn't win at all, I trolled my opponent by not recapturing after a trade of queens.

Perhaps your opponent had to go and attend to something more important that they didn't want you waiting for them and chose to resign instead.
