Or use any of a bunch of clients which save to or export to PGN (Arena is pretty good and if you don't use Windows it will run in Wine on OS X or Linux). That should do what the OP originally wanted.
you can use arenachess to both create and analyze pgn files using stockfish 5 the strongest chess engine available today.
