Analysis Question

When I import PGN from Chess.com I can use Stockfish to actually tell me where my blunders were. When I finish a game on Lichess and click Analysis mode, it loads stockfish but only gives me the bar saying how much of an advantage white/black has. It doesn't tell me the best lines, mistakes, blunders etc.

How do I get to do this with games played on lichess?

Request a computer analysis from under the board.

@Rockstar189 click the button "Request a computer analysis" under the game board to analyse it.

Further, there's more than just an evaluation bar, even if you're just using the browser analysis:

It shows you the best line, the evaluation, etc. If you click the target icon marked with the blue square, it'll show you the same information, but as if the side-to-move passed.

Basically, you get information about the opponent's "threat".

On that note, when you have the engine switch to analyzing threats, you can only see the actual evaluation of the threatened moves by using multiPV>1 and looking at the smaller evals next to each line.

The main evaluation readout never shows the actual eval of the threatened line, so in multiPV=1, you don't get correct eval shown for threats.

Nxe7 is a threat to be a bit more than +0.7 :)

It's just a minor annoyance, but I'm guessing it wouldn't be that hard to fix, so I thought I'd mention it. Thanks again for all the work you do to make this site so fantastic!
