I find it utterly difficult that blocking someone because he/she plays the London is displayed in this posting as some sort of reasonable behaviour.
"I punish and block you and never want to play with you again because you disturb my quest for creativity with your dull opening, in which I will never make a mistake and you will never find something creative or interesting."
Really?!
I tried my best not to judge this behaviour but just mentioning that it happened, leaving the judgement part to the reader. Personally I think it's a remarkable fact that someone does it while streaming. Some sort of statement, don't you think?

The material design Android app? That does have a blocking feature, its under the profile menu reached by tapping on usernames.

So petty. I never blocked anyone in 10 years
real
i dont really understand people that block often, like fritzi who has me blocked for absolutely no reason (weve never played or talked before, he just aborts)

The comment of a friend of mine (have to ponder a while until I understand it in all the details):
"An interesting topic. This goes far beyond online chess due to LLMs, social media bots, and targeted bias research. Does selective ignorance serve as a psychological safety wall against self-optimizing plausibility generators? ;)
What counts when the first casualty of war has long been buried?"

Interesting. I checked out the app which was presented in a Lichess blog not long ago and played with it and it didn't take long until I needed that function. But I wasn't able to find it. Was the function added later after launching it?

I would like to see this feature added to avoid players that stall or leave.

Generally with such things, if someone wants to block, go ahead. If I want to block someone, it's also within my right. I try not to think too much about it, so I just go by things with this saying in mind "why would you care /waste so much time to someone that didn't even give you any time of their day?"
Just my 2 cents
