ChessTacticsOpeningTournamentAnalysis
"Carlsen is better than you in positional chess and in attacking chess too!" - Peter Heine Nielsen

We all know that Carlsen is a great positional player, but he is super strong in attacking chess too! And today I will show you the game between Carlsen and Duda! Duda crushed Carlsen in the World cup and Magnus wants to get his revenge! Can he do this?
Here is a game :

And let's watch it! 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 d5 4.cxd5 Nxd5 5.Nf3 c5 6.e3 cxd4 7.exd4 and we have Queen's Gambit declined Semi Tarrasch variation on the board! Duda plays it a lot recently. 7.Nxc3 8.bxc3 and 8.Qc7 and Duda is attacking Carlsen's pawn. 9.Rb1 - Carlsen develops his rook and sacrifices pawn! And it is not great to take it because of Bd2 and white will have very good development! That is why 9.Nd7 10.Bd3 - Magnus sacrifices it and Duda can take it now because Carlsen can't move Bd2 and win tempo. 10.Qxc3 and Duda has very good position after 11.Kf1 But now he made very serious mistake! 11.Be7 and this looks logical but this allows Ne5 a bit later and that is why Bd6 would be a better move. 12.h4! Carlsen starts attacking Duda on the kingside. 12.0-0 and now 13.Rh3! Very creative move to start strong attack! And now 13.Nf6 is one more mistake by Duda because after 14.Ne5 - Duda has problems with queen because Bxh7 is threatening. Better than Nf6 was Qc7 but still white had advantage after Bg5 14.Qa5 Rg3 - Magnus attacks kingside and Duda has very bad position 15.Rg3 Kh8 and now 16. Bg5 to remove the defender which is Knight on f6 16.h6 17.Bxh6 gxh6 and 18. Qf3 and white is threatening Qf4 and queen h6 checkmate and Duda resigned! Great game by Carlsen! *Waiting for some likes, thanks for reading!*
