Stage #1
Five-round 60+30 swiss, top eight qualify for stage 2.
Stage #2
Single-elimination knockout with eight players.
Seedings are decided by the swiss section’s results, players play a best of two 60+30, If tied 1-1 the player who finished higher in the swiss goes through. The player who finished higher in the swiss portion will also start with the white pieces. Please note if the higher seed wins the first game the match is over without needing a second game.
To join, either write "I Commit to playing in this event" In the forum or tell me in a message that you wish to be added to the list of players.
This event will start on February 27th, You have seven days to play each game. This means if matches are tied in each knockout round it could continue as late as May 15th, however, I would expect it will be done closer to the beginning of the month. It's a long event, If last time is anything to go off of it should be great fun too! Good luck to everyone who joins.
