I have been working on version 2.4.0, with some design changes related to the Preferences, everybody's favorite page :) So here is a sneak peek at what's coming. Let me know what you think.
1. the Preferences link is no longer in the Lichess Preferences page, but directly in the user menu (just like it was when you were not logged in), and it's the same link for both logged in and not logged in users:
2. There are more categories of preferences, 16 to be exact, so that there are around 8 preferences on average per category, although some like Analysis have 24+16 so I had to split them into two Analysis categories :). I ordered the categories and they all start off as collapsed:
3. There is a textbox that filters in real time the categories based on their translated name, category and preferences:
Some of the features have been moved from one tool to some other for consistency, but they mostly remain the same.
I hope that these changes will help people discover the features more easily and not "want to quit chess" when looking at the Preferences page.
