How to use Tools on Firefox

I am trying to use Lichess Tools on Firefox, but am still stuck.

My Firefox version is 113(32-bit).

The user manual ( https://siderite.dev/blog/lichess-tools---user-manual/ ) says:
"All of the features below can be individually turned on or off from the Preferences menu, the LiChess Tools menu entry, or - if not logged in - from the LiChess Tools menu on the top right."

The first hurdle I cleared was finding the menu bar. On Firefox it is apparently hidden by default.

I think I have found the preferences menu (Menu Bar > Edit > Settings> Extensions&Themes> LiChess Tools by siderite). But then I see no way to proceed to switch features on or off. An Alternative route is MenuBar > Tools > Add-ons & Themes.

I do not see a "LiChess Tools menu on the top right [of what?]"

It might be just me, but changes are that other firefox users run into the same problems. If you need any more information, screenshots or other help to figure this out, I am happy to help.

Let me give you some context.

1. First of all you have the extension popup, which you can enable the button for by pinning it to the toolbar

2. If you click the button, you should get the popup

   In the popup there are all the useful links to understand what's going on.
3. When installed and logged in, the Preferences page in Lichess should have a LiChess Tools section

   A similar option you get directly in the user menu on top-right (the same you use to get to Preferences) if you are not logged in.
   Personally, I don't recommend using LT not logged in, but you can do it.
4. When you open the LiChess Tools Preferences section you get settings for all features and a link to the user manual for each

I am now confused at a different level. Steps 1 and 2 did get me further. When I look at the Lichess preferences, there is no 'Lichess Tools' section in the list on the left. I am logged in to Lichess. And the LiChess Tools extension is showing on the toolbar. I could figure out how to send you screenshots or other info if that would help.
I truly appreciate your help.

That means the extension is not working for you for some reason.
Try to uninstall it and install it again.

It might help if you look in the developer tools in the browser and check if there are any errors.

The good news is that I got Lichess Tools to work on a different machine (an android tablet). On the linux machine I have uninstalled and installed it again, to no avail. The errors in the browser developers tools are pasted below. As far as I can tell, the they are mainly warnings and two errors that seem to be related to adblockers I use.

Anyway, for the moment I am good now. Thanks a lot for your help!

Thanks! Those are warnings and not related to LiChess Tools unless there is more.

LiChess Tools doesn't appear to get loaded at all.

Those "Unknown pseudo-class or pseudo-element ‘has’" warnings indicate an old browser, although the selector should have been available since FF130 for android and FF121 for desktop and you say it's 113. Latest ver is 131.

Are you on some old Windows system like Win7?

I would venture to say that LT is not supported on that browser.

Just checked the Firefox history. The earliest version of FF that might support LiChess Tools is 128.
