I would like to add my own sound effects for moves, is it possible with this extension?

@Ford_Crown_Vic The sound system is more complicated. I think that's a question better directed to Lichess themselves.

One of the major issues is that the sounds are used differently (see the pentatonic ones, which use custom code). Also, images can be loaded by the HTML elements themselves and go around some CORS issues, but sounds must be loaded in JavaScript and Lichess doesn't allow loading stuff from other web sites, with few exceptions.

I can look into it, but I think it's safe to say that not any time soon and it should be coming from Lichess.

If you think your sounds would be liked by other people, maybe consider contributing to Lichess. Then they would just have to approve your changes.

The thing is I made my sound bank from Mortal Kombat 1 so there would be copyright issues. I made an extension but it doesn’t quite work, it will play some of the custom sounds but also mostly lichess sounds so I gave up.
