This would be unpopular for most people because it is much easier to control your and time and not lose in 3+2 but it is not in 5+0. More 3+2 than 5+0 would simply just be wrong.

3+2 tournament do happen quite often. The reason why there is little increment tournament is because people generally find it more fun with no increment than increment.

Definetly could be. Never seen a game even close to that number of moves.

It is not necessarily a smaller platform. Lichess is very popular with lots of amazing players.
