So difficult to improve in blitz games

Since the start of "my career" in chess in 2012, I have played mainly correspondence games (on chess.com at the beginning and I have now also been on Lichess for a few months).

Newly retired, I have studied a lot over the last few months and my correspondence games have improved reasonably.

I've been playing a lot of blitz games in Lichess lately and I've also improved a bit from a few years ago. However, I find myself facing a huge wall in front of me and I don't see how I can improve other than by letting time and experience accumulate; which should take me, according to my perception, ... years to get a few bits more...

Is it basically that blitz games are much harder or is there a way to improve faster?

I find the difference between my ranking between correspondence games and blitz games enormous. The difference between this kind of games is that I have a lot of time to think in correspondance, what I don't have in blitz.

Any tip would be quite welcome.

Regards.

Blitz has very little time to think & calculate.
Play rapid/ classical/ correspondence & analyze your finished games, if you want to improve.

Books & Youtube videos can help you too.

There is a question mark near your 1900 rating in correspondence, which means your rating is provisional.
In blitz, bullet, you need to evaluate the board quickly and efficiently, and a 1300 player usually has difficulty doing both.
The more you play, the more experience you'll get, and that should improve tactical awareness and board evaluation.
You mentioned being retired; that could also play a role. Age is a factor when it comes to speed. Kids talk fast, move fast, for a reason. The mind is moving at 500kph. The older you get the harder it is to rev the engine.

Basically, is it possible that a 1100 player in blitz is stronger than a 1100 in rapid?

Play in the arena tournaments, and play a lot. 20-40 games a day.
If you learn from mistakes, you will be 1500-1600 within six months. Might take a couple years to get to 2000, but if your rapid rating is over 2000 than you should be able to get a similar blitz rating.
In bullet, you have to know all the opening lines and like mantooth said, you've got to think 2-3 moves ahead in a split second, which means understanding what your opponent is trying to do while also considering your own offensive optionbs. It's not so easy, especially if your playing an NM, CM, FM who knows a lot of theory. One bad mistake, and they will crush you.
In blitz, you can use slightly more time, and have enough time to think maybe 3-5 moves ahead, but if you get stumped in the opening, then time can be factor.
Obviously in correspondence you have lots of time to think, and so time isn't an issue. But once that clock begins to roll, whether classical, rapid, Blitz or bullet, it's much harder.
