@FloodedAxis You are doing just fine. According to your stats you are better than a lot on this site for
Rapid and Classical, though your lightning is not so good. However, for what it is worth, I won't touch lightning and believe it is bad for your chess anyway, unless you are Magnus Carlsen. I have noticed that the average rating of your opponents for Rapid is over 1800 and for classical over 1700. I see you have even beaten a 2000+ player. When I was playing at your level I could only dream of doing something like that. You're playing good players and may not be quite ready for that. But what the heck, if you're happy with that it's not going to hurt you. It might help to play a few players at or slightly above your level. Sometimes, when I'm playing badly I will play against people 50-100 points lower just to regain my confidence. But you don't have to.
Don't panic. Slow down, you're doing fine. Keep doing the tactics, eventually they will switch on your mind and you will see more possibilities in a game. The tactical knowledge is not active in your mind, yet, but don't make the mistake that because that hasn't happened yet, it won't happen. You don't know that. You can't be everything you want to be before your time.
Remember to keep playing and enjoying and learning. I hate l*si*g, but maybe the better way to look at things is you either win or you learn. Sometimes I can't even bring myself to say the defeat word.
Drop the lightning stuff and enjoy your chess.
