Thank you for your initiative in organizing this special tournament. The date is well chosen - but it really shouldn't take place, because we would all rather see Danya playing on the livestream that day.
Perhaps @Lichess could kindly add this tournament to its Arena tournament list.
What we also need is a classical Rated FIDE Tournament (like the Capaclanca memorial).
@dinoko Indeed, I've already set up such a tournament! Please spread the word, it would be a great tribute to Danya if we could get as many people as possible to drop in and play a game in his honour. I'll be reaching out to some of my contacts as well.

@Tenakel Thank you for your kind words! I have sent the Lichess team an email as well, asking them to boost visibility. We'll see what happens. Either way, I hope to see you (and everyone else in this thread) there that day!
I'll be making new blog posts closer to the date to hopefully draw more attention to it as well. It would be great to get some titled players to come out as well.
And everyone, please make sure you check in with your loved ones. Make sure everyone around you knows they are not alone if they find themselves in a time of need.
@IsaMohideen The chess federations are very good at organizing memorial tournaments. It's one of the only things they are good at.
