Reality: It cost nothing to send this data to Ukraine. USA still wants to do it. The conclusion is: USA is trying to help Russoa.

Nobody in their right mind will ever buy a HIMARS system again, if US has a kill switch.

This means the Russian army will have much more easy of operating, when the threat of the HIMARs gone.

Ukraine also has some European systems like the French Caesar but AFAIK HIMARs really has been the main thing.

Also hope UK can give them the intelligence they need anyway, maybe so they can use the HIMARs for something at least.

What are the Americans going to do a few years from now when the war is still going on, and Ukraine has only given a little ground in return for another half million or so Russian casualties? Join N. Korea and send conscripts to the join the suicide, rather, Storm-Z battalions? "We aren't just going to deport people we don't like, we'll deport you to Russia!"

Trump will be on his way out by then, and likely already lost congress in the midterms and be near powerless

One hopes. But one also hopes that, by that time, the Democratic Party will have had a hard look in the mirror and found some honest answers to some difficult questions. Or that the Republicans will have done as much, and will have found their way back to planet earth. A lot is going to happen between now and then, however.
