@tpr Ofcourse the gambit is doubtfull, but for humans very playable. Nf3 played by Carlsen, Nakamura and Morozevich.....

kings gambit is great, anyway i have a small suggestion, play bc4 before nf3, it means your targeting the f7 square earlier and its slightly more unexpected and aggressive also its harder to get into the muzio gambit if you don't like it, just some advice
EDIT: sorry im stupid i didnt read the thread much so i missed literally everyone else mentioning it lmao
i think bc4 is better by quite a bit but hey, just my opinion

Here is an example of Morozevich playing it
@tpr What are you trying to say?

3 Bc4 > 3 Nf3
@tpr First time i see you go against engine analysis
@tpr, how about we settle this in a match?

Engine evaluations in the early opening are useless because of the horizon effect: there are too many possibilities for any meaningful evaluation. It is only after some pawn moves and trades that the engine evaluation gets accuracy.

a match between two untitled players is unsuitable to settle any theoretical dispute
This said, a match where I play 1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Bc4 as white and 1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Nf3 as black does appeal to me.
