@tpr Sandbagging is INTENTIONALLY manipulating your rating by throwing games. Berserking it itself is not this.

If a "berserk account" is a thing, it needs a flag just like a bot account, and it should only be able to play in tournaments, auto-berserking every game. When someone berserks against me, I ought to see a rating that is reliable at the time control of the tournament, more or less, to inform my decision about whether to also berserk. Not a deflated rating because all of the games on that account are at half that time.

I avoid arenas for the most part entirely because of this. If accounts are allowed for berserk only, I see I am making the only correct decision.

A player who sometimes plays blindfold and sometimes plays no blindfold should have two different accounts. Otherwise he would manipulate his rating without throwing games. Indeed in that case a flag is needed, like player and player_blindfold.
A player who sometimes plays all berserk and sometimes plays no berserk should have two different accounts. Otherwise he would manipulate his rating without throwing games. Indeed in that case a flag is needed, like player and player_-berserk.
Berserk is more difficult as some players use other strategies, like berserk against lower rated players and no berserk against higher rated players, or no berserk at the start and all berserk towards the end.
A player who nearly always berserks will have a deflated rating as compared to the same player who nearly never berserks.
Berserk distorts the dependability of a rating.
