Is it allowed to spectate a game while analyzing it?

I was playing in a swiss tournament and someone was finished their game and decided to use stockfish to follow along on a game being played without telling the players the best moves. Is this allowed?

This is called kabitzing if they tell the players the best moves. Still, I recommend NOT to do this.
