I am currently 2382 on lichess in classical and not finding any opponents I waited for 15 min
Is it possible to even play at this level? How did others get classical rating 2500+? if you dont find opponents
Only 41 000 active classical player last week and if you are 2200 that puts in in top 1.3% so about 450 player as strong or stronger than you . Then these scattered over several timezones and by necessity players play less classical games than blitz so I would be amazed if someone of your strength easily finds an opponent .
Maybe try joining lichess4545 for online tournaments with one game a week. But your opponents would be on different timezones and arranging game may still be bit difficult.
On the lichessladders.com you can also get some stronger players to compete with and be challenged by others helping them get stronger too maybe.

You need slack and discord for these but especially at your level it's probably worth the effort.

But oftentimes they disable challenges. I do.
On classical Lichess, it gives you three whole hours to play the game, which I think is bad, because most chess games should take 10 to 15 minutes.
Yes, having to think can be a great burden.
