Nina Simone (1966 - the first recording by Hope Foye google only found to buy on vinyl, anyways this seems like perfection and IMO beats the Jeff Buckley Version, which is amazing regardless) :

Miley Cyrus (Backyard Sessions - there have been at least 3 installments of those in 2012, 15 [Happy Hippie], 20 [MTV Unplugged], still have to catch up... - this is from 2012 and a very impressive cover):

Miley also covered "Dont Dream its over" by Crowded House as a nice duet including a funny "outtake" with Ariana Grande

@Caballode3cabezas Elvis Presley barely performed any original songs, "Always on my mind" is no exception, there have been 2 or 3 releases before him. Its ofc the most iconic and sucessful performance.
