Why do you think black should be winning here?
@OnlyStupidNamesLeft Doesn't Nxf2 win a rook? I'm so confused
@Jernzzy no, because of Qb5+, queens are traded and White threatens to take the rook on a8:
7. ... Nxf2 8. Qb5+ Qxb5 9. Nxb5 and then:
@Jernzzy Ah, I see, that's sneaky. But that doesn't work, white has an in-between Qb5+. Black has to exchange queens and now white is threatening a fork too. So black either has to exchange rooks or defend from the fork (then white rook has time to move away).
@StashBot @OnlyStupidNamesLeft Ah I see it now! Thank you both so much!
No problem ^^
@Jernzzy The short cut to the answer is to go to the analysis board, turn on the Stockfish computer analysis, and then try the move you're thinking of. Computer will show you the refutation (maybe give it a few sec to figure out the best moves).
(The switch is on the top or bottom right on browser and in the settings on app)
@laatikko I'll definitely give that a try next time! Thanks
you're welcome
