How to have a chess 'study' of blunders from my games from lichess/chess.com. Help please!

A recent ChessWithAkeem video gave me this idea but I want to do it using the lichess study feature if possible. He says from his games if he makes a blunder or mistake, he takes a screenshot, then at the end of the week he goes back through and flips through them flashcard style to find the right move, sort of woodpecker method.

I want to do the same thing using study. I know how to make a study and a chapter and to import either a FEN or a PGN. BUt I want it to be 'frozen' at the move in the game like if the blunder was move 16, it should be on move 16, so when I go to that chapter I can try to guess what the better move would have been for me.

Thanks in advance!

This is how I do it:

  1. Add my game to a study.
  2. Analyze it. Identify the mistakes or inaccuracies.
  3. In the position where the mistake occurred I click on the hamburger menu and then open the position in the board editor.
  4. In the board editor I click on "Study" to add the position back to my study (doesn't have to be the same study. I usually keep my analysis separate from the puzzles).
  5. Then you can switch the Analysis Mode in the chapter settings from "Normal Analysis" to "Interactive lesson" and add the move(s) for the solution.
  6. This ensures that the board stops after each move you are making. Optionally you can add text or add hints to the puzzle.

I've started doing the same thing actually. I used Anki and take a screenshot. I also put it in my deck twice - once suggesting the blunder move and once suggesting the stockfish recommended move. A deck like this has to grow to a sufficient size before it becomes useful.

When I add it to the study, it goes back to move one. Then I turned it to interactive lesson, but it thinks the move I actually did was the right one. Hmmm getting close

@MalcolmHfx What do you mean by move one? Do you mean move one of the whole game?
Usually, when you jump from a specific position (you have to go to each critical position of the original game and add them separately) in a study chapter to the board editor it only copies the current position. When you add the position back to the study there are no moves in this chapter. You only see the position itself on the board. Then you begin to enter the moves that you should have played and switch to interactive mode.

EDIT: I just discovered a much quicker way to achieve what you want. You don't have to jump to the board editor at all.
There are a couple of tabs below the board. Click the one for exporting the game. If you scroll down you will discover the FEN text. You can copy this text by clicking the button.
Then you create a new chapter and select FEN in the window that pops up. Give the chapter a name and then click "Create Chapter".
This method is much better because it doesn't require you to change the pages all the time. Didn't know about this until now.
