Why am I losing at Blitz even though I'm decent in other formats

Far more likely flagging tactics have a greater effect on some players than others.

@BlotterFan wtf how does 1500 rapid correspond to 1000 blitz? I'm 1400 rapid and here 1800 bullet. I played recently some more bullet on other acc and am 1970 there.

Look my ratings! I have the same problem. We should probably move faster.

Go look at the 1500 rapid players, they all have 1000 blitz ratings. Thats what correspondence means.

I am kind of in a similar situation. I just suck at blitz. Its very different from Classical and Rapid. I am a 1600 rapid, but barely 1300 in blitz. Blitz is heavily based on intution or fast calculation, and for intutition, you need experience, which i dont have, and fast calculation? haha, no :(

I know how u feel. I mean, my rating is in the 700-600s! I mostly suck so I stick to bullet.

U literally haven’t played bullet for like a month or more

"A guy I played a few hours ago literally just played E4,D4,C4,B4 and so on until all of his pawns were on the 4th rank (I beat that guy, but the fact that he's beating others in this rating range kind of shows how bad the competition is at this level)."

Maybe all pawns to the 4th is a bit too much, but b,c,d,e pawns is not bad. I used that setup not once and not twice against 1600-1700 rapid/classical rated opponents and won.

Let me repeat, the blitz pool is the hardest (I am not talking about bullet pool, because it's where speedy fingers are more important). There are hundreds of factors for that, but the numbers show clearly. It's more likely that an average player will get to 1500 in rapid than in blitz. That's how the physics work. End of the story.
