Well, that escalated quickly

One single puzzle, +62 to 2667.

Honestly, it took me a quarter of an hour or so. Puzzle was something like 2550.

https://lichess.org/@/Sarg0n, I once got 100 points from one puzzle. This was probably because you set your settings to hard in puzzles. If you pass a hard puzzle, then you get lots of points.

@Riko2020_chess More because his puzzle rating is provisional. The single biggest factor in your rating change is your ratings deviation or RD; even more than the difference in rating between you and your "opponent" (in this case the puzzle rating). When you go a long time without doing any, your RD goes up. As you do them, it goes down. This is meant to measure the uncertainty of your rating, so if it is old but your strength has changed, your rating can quickly catch up to playing strength.

Completely unrelated, I surpassed 2300 for the first time in puzzles today. Now if only I could translate this to my play! (Of course, I take my time on puzzles in a way that I cannot in Rapid or Blitz games...)

https://lichess.org/@/phoenixshade, you have a big brain unlike me, so I don't have the foggiest idea about what you are talking about.

You're provisional because last time you played puzzles was July 2020. There was even the update in between.
First mistake you make you will lose even more than that. Rating will stabilize after a bunch of puzzles played regularly.
