Can we please have a better message when an account is closed. I would like to see a distinction between an account that was voluntarily closed vs ine closed for bad conduct like cheating.

what does it matter its closed and not coming back
and lichess does not close accounts generally they shadow-ban them or something else to prevent people spamming new accounts all the time.

FYI the message used to be more specific and eventually was changed to the generic "violated TOS", so I doubt lichess wil go back

every closure is a voluntary action, resulting in the same effect for all.
but here is a dirty LIFEHACK for those curious: remember that cheaters can only be paired with other cheaters, and for non-rated games only, and all their games are still in the lichess database..
back in 2018, you used to be able to see the "engine" flag for cheaters in user api (as well as the "troll" flag xD for a shadowbanned accts, eg. https://lichess.org/api/user/username). but the admins have since providently removed that little loophole.
i guess it is because this site is not about shaming people. for the same reason they don't broadcast you the name when you get a rating refund (a pretty pointless gimmick imo, given the mathematical nature of the rating system)

But it makes sense to make it clear that, if an account is closed, is not necessary for cheating as many would assume taking into account today's circumstances.
