rating to be on tv??

I was wondering how much rating you need to be on rapid tv normally. Im rated 2320 and have never been on tv while opponents with less rating than me have been on tv for more than 10 hours.

Yes this is an ego matter xD haha

You may need to be a Lichess Patron to be on Rapid tv

You have to be playing the highest rated game currently on Lichess to be on the TV.
I suggest you play against highly rated opponents during 7-9 PM EST. By then, many players in North America will have fallen asleep.

Playing bots and stockfish also counts as time on tv, so you don't really know what players were featured for.

You can check https://lichess.org/tv and see who's currently playing and what strength they are. You just need to play in a category where nobody higher rated than you is currently playing.

Obviously, it's much easier if you live in a time zone where you can easily between around 0:00 to 7:00 UTC when all the Europeans are sleeping and player numbers are the lowest. Some people also have been playing on Lichess for much longer when there were still way fewer players. And as Deadban said, there's also a TV category for the highest-rated ongoing game against a bot and another one against Stockfish which generally have way lower ratings, so if you really want some TV time for some reason, ig just play some bot games.

if you are playing the highest rated game currently (highest sum of your rating+opponent's rating), then your game goes on lichess.org/tv
