The Fried Liver, a theoretical opening

I've been playing the fried liver against the two knights defense for a long time. And after my several tries with it, I started thinking it's a theoretical opening instead of a "Kill My Opponent" opening. Even GothamChess said in his Fired Liver video:" Even GMs are playing these positions, and now what's considered the mainline is...":

Tell me if I'm wrong or not.

I was thinking about learning a more aggressive opening, with (a little bit of) theory but 98% is just improvisation and finding the only winning move. Should I focus on and stay with the Fried Liver or instead learn a new opening such as the King's Gambit or Nakhmanson Gambit?

Like the video says Ng5 against the Two Knights is a proper opening - apart from the thing with d5 Nxd5 Nxd5 Nxf7 there's a respectable mainline with Na5 which is about equal and then a bunch of weirdo tricky options for black that are slightly dubious but risky for white if you don't know the tricks.

You're not just going to get loads of Nxf7 tricks against better players, but then you're probably not going to get loads of any sort of tricks against better players - that's part of the reason they're better players. The further out-there you go looking for a tricky gambit that people won't know, the more dubious it'll be and the more depressing it will be when people don't fall for the tricks and you're just left with a slightly worse position to try to defend...

Are GMs really playing this stuff? Hmm...

This is a Fried Liver line, which correspondence players have tested in 2014. Elíson with both colors, after losing to Schroeder. White scored 3 out of 3.

The Fritz Variation seems to be refuted.

However, in the Morphy Variation, white still struggles to find something.

@WassimBerbar
Go for Bird Opening which is silent but the opening that leads to very sharp plays. If Black plays e5 then go for kill: d4
You may require theory to learn it, so go and look for that.
I am used to play that against my friend who is kinda as strong as me but I have successfully defeated him.
And with Bird Opening, I have quite good success rate especially initially.
