Incoming waves in online chess.

I just had a bad Lichess day, losing dozens of bullet rating points. But when I check the statistics, I suddenly remember that one day (about 1.5 years ago?) my bullet rating was sth like 2950, but I ranked (if not, almost) the same as today.

Of course I’m not that concerned about online chess results, awards etc. but it’s interesting to see how greatly chess has been shifting "onlinewards", with so many more bullet beasts appearing on leaderboard alternately :p

I mean, you can usually expect a growth in players and games on big chess websites, which probably attracts a lot of people who likes grinding...

@HowardXue

It is likely that the evolution of online chess rankings, especially in bullet chess, is influenced by the arrival of young prodigies. These young players learn quickly, have better reflexes, and benefit from intensive training from a very young age. Even if you are not necessarily playing against children, these individuals were prodigies when they were children and are therefore accustomed to being fast.
