I like the idea, but I really would prefer to have more time than only blitz. With rapid games it could be a great event. I know most people here prefer to play bullet or very short blitz games. So this is just my personal point of view. And of course, if we played rapid, a cheater would win it finally.

if it is rapid it will be too long .....not sure iif people will have time 1 day ....or even if it is seperate in days.....it is stilll not very sure ....but it is option also i hope somebody make it

Why not knock-out? I thought that format adds a bit of drama. If you can keep playing after a loss it's not all that much different from the current arena tournaments.

I thought of it as a big event, like the marathon, so it could take some time, yes. Of course "rapid" can mean different things, 15 + 10 is rapid, but also 5+5 is not blitz anymore.

yes in that sence it MUST be knock-out, there must be a drama, nice point...grondilu!

Maybe the players who proceed moving in different color group. The losers remain in the same and playing knock out for first in that group. The colors can be: http://newsnews.perfectinter.net/post_image/0_346_karate-belts.jpg Every round generates new knock out tournament.

Time controll: 20 min. without increments.
Prize: Lichess Master's title.
System: Swiss System.
