As we can benefit from playing chess through the internet, why don't we make our games more respectful to the game itself and remove the "premoving" option? I think it is not fair to keep going on with such option. What do you think? Or, alternatively, there must be an option to exclude the "premoving" if one (or both) player(s) do not want it. Thank you for the chance of expressing myself.

Yes - in my opinion that option should be blocked or should be possibility for player to disable it. Why? You can use it to make very thorough analysis deep into many moves forward. Analysis should be done only in the player's brain.
But it applies only to correspondence.

How is removing the premove option "more respectful to the game itself" ? What does premove have to do with fairness, could you (OP) elaborate on that ?
Also, are you talking about correspondance games as #2 or blitz/bullet ?
#2, in my opinion that's pretty much the point of correspondance chess. You have two days to think about your move, may as well pull a wooden plank and start picturing out the future. Lichess merely makes that easier. Going with OP, I'm pretty sure correspondance players pre-internet used to draw wooden boards and think by moving the pieces, not just watching a fixed position. Annd if you don't take notes you tend to lose track of the plan you elaborated a week ago.

Hi, Lecw, thanks for your reply. As Pica_pica stated above, I think premoving is a mental feture of the game, and should not be able to be available through an internet-based game. If we were playing face to face, you wouldn't be able to premove, and its unfair in the sense taht -as it usually happens- many players premove under a negative scenario and finally win with a twchnique that's not respectful of the game itself. Chess was meant to provide a platform for us to premove mentally, not through a PC. Otherwise, let's change the name, but it is not chess. Thans you.

Thanks, Horny King, I'm not questioning each player's mental speed, all that I'm saying is that with the premoving option we are not playing chess. That's my point. Show me just one match -of the Great Masters, or anywhere in history- that include premoving and I will kindly remove my point. We know that you will find not even one. Thanks!

As for premove in correspondence: If there's a forced sequence that takes 5 or so moves, I'd rather not have to repeatedly attend to it over a possible 2 week span. There's no disrespect in sparing you and your opponent's time of a boring portion of the game.
As for premove in blitz: It seems to be at about the same level as moving your piece after your opponent has moved theirs, but before they're able to hit their clock. This can be seen as "rude" but it is allowed in tournament play, so I think it's perfectly acceptable on lichess.

premoves were used in the chess.com grandmasters blitz battle where carlsen, nakamura and other great masters played.
point removed?

Hi, LM Lightss, no way, in a real game, where you have the clock, usually at your right, please tell me how can you premove? When you study every single game in history of the game -from the arabs and the middle ages until today- please tell me where do you find annotated the "premoving" option. Premoving is not chess. It may be a feature of "modern internet based chess", ok, but it is not chess. Just show me one link of an annotated game with a premoving sequence. You'll find zero.
