I think I've played the Italian game my whole chess career. It's not bad, but I think I need something new to freshen things up. Any suggestions on new openings?

You could go back to the classics, play the ruy lopez, or you could play something like the scotch. If you want to freshen it up, I would recommend the scotch! It's a dynamic opening, that leads to interesting, exciting positions.

King indian is very good, Scandinav Defense is very sharp, try both.

I like to play the modern defense (1.e4 g6) or (1.d4 g6) as black, and 1.g3 as white.

The Amar Opening? Good ol' Ammonia, Nh3.

The english opening is versatile and allows for great positional play as well as aggressive tactical play... if your playing style is primarily prophylactic ( like getting into your opponents head before formulating a winning plan) and you like a creative or innovative approach to the game of chess than you may appreciate the english opening./ The alekhine's defense is also very interesting, challenging and I believe to be underated as a response to e4. JMO. GL.

as white look into the London system it isn't boring and can be very dynamic esp when castling queenside. As black look into the black lion or the benoni those have been killing it for me in bullet lately

These are some really interesting openings, guys. Thanks for your input.
I don't think the Ammonia opening would suit my style of game, but I'll definitely have a look at the rest.
