Upon further reflection it strikes me that if limestone being a depositional mineral and layering is present as in natural limestone in the pyramid building blocks that would seem to preclude the homogeny of a poured product.In other words if it were ground,mixed and poured,it should not exhibit layering.

Michel Barsoum professor of materials science at Drexel University believes that both methods were used, cut limestone blocks and geopolymer poured into moulds to create the Pyramids.

The most plausible one is that the Egyptians employed a sloping and encircling embankment of brick, earth, and sand, which was increased in height and length as the pyramid rose; stone blocks were hauled up the ramp by means of sledges, rollers, and levers.
