Rating deflation on lichess or Inflation at Chesscom

My Lichess rapid rating used to be 200 points higher than Chess.com. Now it is nearly 50 points lower than chess.com. It feels as if my Lichess opponents at 2000 elo level are playing much better than before.

Nah I personally think that lichess ratings are easier. I have reached a peak rapid rating of 2200 in my other lichess account. But in chess.com I cannot cross 1920 in rapid. But it might depend from person to person But for me chess.com rating is harder

I only play blitz online but there is definitely a lot of inflation in blitz at chess.com . I believe that this is an intentional exercise to make players think they're improving while on there, to give them a false feelgood factor being there and to have streamers celebrate new "peaks". Even chess.com themselves openly celebrate every new Hikaru "peak", which is a little brazen when you realize they are causing it. Note: some people say they're stuck on low ratings so it's possible the inflation only mainly affects the higher end. I predict that eventually chess.com will come out and announce they are tightening up ratings to reflect your "true FIDE rating", so spinning it as some new hook rather than they've been lying the whole time.

There could for sure be some deflation at lichess, 50 or 100 or maybe even more. However if you look at the top blitz players there are still FMs in the 2900s, so lichess ratings are still pretty excessive. I will say lichess blitz is still maybe 100 points inflated compared to chess.com ratings.

I have lost the majority of the games against Maia 1100 but can beat Level 4 bot more often. I find it odd that the Level 4 lichess bot is easier to beat than Maia 1100.

My chess. Com was less then 700 the last time i played. And lichess was 1200 back then. My lichess is now 1400+. Although my fide rapid rating went down from 1599 to 1590. At the end of this month its probably gonna be 1580 ish

So chess. Com might be a bit deflated

The more accounts are created, the more there will a rating disparity... I feel, Its true nowadays 2000 rated players are better than they used to be... (like year 2020)

Just an Analogy of Economics.

Just an example :- If the top players will have only 1 Account, then it's possible for others too to climb up (like FIDE) and can't farm. But if they have more accounts, then its hard to climb, because the space will be occupied by them only. Rating Pools are a Mess.

You have played Clash Of Clans too, so you understand.

And it will increase.

Hope you understand.

Edit :- I think, I should also Start Playing FIDE Classical Rated Tournaments... But don't have patience for 7 Days, staying at an Unknown Place... And I would rather play Ludo than Fide Blitz & Rapids... So much flagging.

Thankfully I have some of those within "commuting distance" (which has its own drawbacks, though).

Sadly, vast majority of FIDE rated rapid tournaments around me has rather unfriendly time controls, ranging from 15+3 to as fast as 10+2; time controls like 15+10 or 20+5 are quite rare as it would be practically impossible to squeeze 9 rounds into one day. (This is also the reason why my FIDE rapid rating is still calculated from only one tournament.)
